You could have given me ten years and it wouldn’t have occurred to me to try this instead, I moved the cursor up to the top of the screen, I didn’t seen anything happen, and then I moved the cursor wildly around the screen. I had to search the web.įor Screen Sharing, in particular, to exit full-screen mode, move the cursor up to the top of the screen and then wait several seconds for the Screen Sharing menu to appear. I realize, not a perfect solution, but would eliminate accidentally leaving full screen. How does one exit full-screen mode on MacOS’s built-in Screen Sharing when one uses a mouse instead of a trackpad, and therefore can’t swipe? I couldn’t do this with the keyboard shortcuts that I knew ( Esc or Cmd+Ctrl+F). DeltaMac said: One solution, IIRC you get to press ESC for other reasons while using Excel, would be to fill screen (drag window to full screen size), and not use that last piece of the full screen. Sadly, this decision led to learning something that one shouldn’t need to learn. I usually prefer to use Jollys Fast VNC, but I haven’t installed it yet on my newest Mac Mini, so I used the built-in Screen Sharing. I use Screen Sharing on MacOS to connect to my Mac Mini machines.
